Tapping Primary School
Tapping Primary School has a progressive and dynamic approach to teaching and learning. We have a commitment to developing self-motivated learners in a climate of mutual respect based on strong working relationships with students, parents and members of the wider community.
We have successfully integrated social and emotional learning with academic instruction to ensure all students receive a well-rounded education. We provide ongoing opportunities for parents to work with us towards this goal by having an effective School Board and strong P&C where parents’ views and opinions are valued and recognised. We also offer a range of school-based workshops where parents can learn more about programs operating at the school and provide feedback to staff.
Tapping PS is an Independent Public School. This status enables us to select staff that understand the broader mission of educating students to be good problem solvers and caring, responsible and engaged citizens – to be successful at school and more importantly in life.

News and Events
On Friday 26 October the staff will be involved in professional development so the school will not be open for pupils to attend. School will resume for students on Monday 28 October. This will be the last pupil free day for 2018.
We raised $900 for Relay for Life by gaffer taping Mr Mac to the wall. Office Max donated all the tape which was purchased for $2.00 per strip. Many children from kindergarten to Year 6 contributed to the event. Thanks go to Mr Mac for allowing the students to tape him up.
From 29 October to 2 November our popular fundraiser will be on again this year. Purchase books for enjoyment or learning, for your family or as gifts, from a huge array of books for all ages. A proportion of the sales goes to the school to purchase more books for the library for all students.
Our final dance lessons will be in week 10 of Term 3. We would like to showcase the fun that the students have had and the new skills they have learned so parents are welcome to attend the final lessons for the term.
