Tapping Primary School is located 30km North of Perth. The school opened in 2007 and became an Independent Public School in 2013. The school population predominately reflects a large migrant population from Great Britain; however, there are over 30 different nationalities represented.
We have 6 classroom teaching blocks all of which are air-conditioned. Every classroom has an interactive whiteboard and access to ICT connectivity. We have established a specialist Science room and recently extended our covered assembly area. We also have heavily invested in providing stimulating play areas for students including the building of our early childhood nature space, built in partnership with the P& C Association.
We offer specialist programs in Physical Education, Performing Arts/Music and Visual Arts, Science, Technology, and Languages Indonesian). We are also the lighthouse school in Australia for the
internationally recognised ‚ÄúPlay is the Way‚ÄĚ program.
The teachers at Tapping PS have been merit selected and are skilled in developing strong working relationships with students and parents. It is the strength of these relationships that give students the confidence to work effectively with others to achieve their personal best.
We promote ‚Äėinclusive‚Äô work practices involving identifying, and removing barriers to the participation and achievement of all students and actively working with all stakeholders to ensure the school becomes an integral part of the community.
Tapping Primary School is committed to working with the school community to implement the West Australian Curriculum. We adopt a child centred approach that focuses on raising the level of social and emotional competencies in each child which will provide a strong foundation for future learning.
